I flip houses for a living, but believe what? I don’t have a current home of our own.
At any given time I legally own several, numerous, even 4 properties, but these are just houses, they aren’t our home.
The only real current home I ever had was growing up, living with our folks. They still live in the same house, and I still prefer going to see them, but I never settled down with a current home of our own. I tend to just live at these properties, out of a suitcase, until I can sell them, and after that I move on. As long as I have clothes, food, our laptop, some a/c, and electricity, then that’s all I need for a locale to stay, and one day maybe I will settle down, but right now this lifestyle suits me. The only problem I have is when a home’s Heating and Air Conditioning plan needs work, and in those cases I will periodically stay in a hotel, however more often than not I avoid buying any properties that need large Heating and Air Conditioning work done, because it can get so lavish and time consuming, however let myself and others tell you something I l acquired — it is easier and cheaper to upgrade the roof of a current home then to upgrade a central Heating and Air Conditioning system. So 9 times out of a 10 the current home with no is not for me. There have been times I have slept in our car ,because as long as I have our laptop and the sweet a/c, I can sleep almost anywhere for a night or several.
