I love how GPS systems in cars have helped make it so you can find any location you are not familiar with.
This is great technology that I embrace with all! It is even better that they allow company cars and trucks to carry a GPS system too.
You see, I work for a local heating and air conditioning company, and my job is to go to all the different HVAC suppliers and pick up heating and cooling products in bulk that they buy. Last week, I was sent to a brand new HVAC supplier that no one knew where they were located. So this is where my trusty GPS came in handy. I was able to punch in the address of the new heating and air conditioning products supplier, and the talking voice directed me as I drove there. It was a good thing too. Because if this was before the technology of a GPS system, I would have for sure gotten lost! The HVAC supplier was over an hour away. At first, I didn’t understand why they would even deal with an HVAC supplier that far from their heating and cooling business. But, when I seen the invoice for the heating and cooling products, then I knew why. This was for sure the best deal I think I had ever seen on all these pieces of HVAC equipment! Other pick ups I have done in the past for HVAC equipment like this cost the company almost 3 times the price of what this was. I’m sure they’ll be sending me to this HVAC supplier quite often in future.
